Who operates this site

Rooted in Gratitude LLC operates the Rooted in Gratitude website and historical media archive presented by Rebecca Rei Hidalgo. Rooted is treated as its own website, brand and data environment. Its website activity should not automatically be combined with Hidalgo Real Estate Group merely because the sites share technical infrastructure or because Rebecca is associated with both.

What the current site does

Rooted is an editorial, podcast and media archive. The current site includes public articles, podcast audio, video, archive search and filtering, images, historical episode notes, links, and downloadable resources. It does not currently require a user account, checkout, paid membership, donation form, event registration, newsletter signup, SMS enrollment or user-content submission form.

Technical information processed when you visit

Hosting, security and content-delivery systems may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include IP address, user-agent, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamp, referring page, network information and ordinary request or error-log data. The exact duration of provider logs may depend on the applicable hosting or service configuration.

Archive search information

The archive allows visitors to search and filter public content. Search terms and filter choices may appear in the page URL and therefore may also appear in browser history, hosting logs or ordinary server records. Do not enter private or sensitive personal information into the archive search field.

Podcast audio and media delivery

Historical audio and other media may be delivered from podcast hosts, media content-delivery networks or other providers. When your browser retrieves or plays remote media, the media provider can receive ordinary connection information such as IP address, device or browser information and request metadata under that provider's own practices.

YouTube and video

Where Rooted uses YouTube, the current experience is designed to reduce passive third-party loading by presenting a local preview before creating the video connection. When you choose to play a YouTube item, your browser may connect to Google or YouTube services, including privacy-enhanced YouTube domains, and those services may process technical information according to their own policies.

Analytics and advertising technology

As of the effective date above, Rooted does not intentionally load Plausible Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or another separate advertising analytics tag on the Rooted site. Plausible is currently scoped to Hidalgo Real Estate Group only. Hosting and media providers may still process technical information necessary to provide their services.

If Rooted later adds analytics, advertising pixels, audience-building technology or similar tracking, this policy should be updated and any legally required notice, consent or opt-out mechanism should be implemented before relying on the new processing.

Messages and privacy requests

If you contact Rooted or Rebecca about an episode, archive item, privacy concern, accessibility issue, rights complaint or other matter, you choose the information you include. That information may be used to respond, investigate the request, maintain reasonable records, protect the site or its users, and establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Third-party links

Rooted may link to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, guest websites, historical sponsors, products, community organizations, Hidalgo Real Estate Group, Rebecca's other sites and other independent services. When you leave Rooted, the destination provider controls its own data practices. A link is not a representation that Rooted controls or endorses every current statement, product or practice on the destination site.

Historical archive and personal information

The migrated archive contains names, voices, images, biographies, stories and other information relating to guests, community members, professionals and historical events. Those materials were originally created or published over many years. Their continued publication is an archival and editorial function and is subject to underlying copyright, release, contractual and privacy considerations.

If you appear in archived material and believe a publication, image, recording or document raises a rights or privacy concern, use the Rooted contact page and identify the specific item so it can be reviewed.

Sponsors, referrals and historical commercial relationships

Some historical content may reference sponsors, lenders, title companies, mortgage professionals, builders, products, guests or other commercial relationships. The current archive may preserve those references for historical context. Their presence should not be interpreted as a representation that the same financial or referral relationship remains active today.

Real-estate separation

Rooted includes historical housing and real-estate discussions and may link to Hidalgo Real Estate Group, but Rooted is not itself a general buyer or seller lead-capture site. If a page is used as current advertising for licensed real-estate services, that page may require brokerage-specific disclosures and review separate from the ordinary editorial archive.

No sale of personal information to advertisers

Rooted does not currently operate an advertising-data business and does not sell personal information to advertisers. Ordinary hosting, media delivery, user-directed navigation and service-provider processing are not described here as advertising sales.

Retention

Technical logs, correspondence, rights records and other information are retained for periods reasonably related to operational, archival, security, legal and recordkeeping needs. Historical editorial content may be retained for archival purposes unless a rights, safety, legal or editorial reason supports restriction or removal.

Security

Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used for the systems supporting the site. No hosting provider, email system, cloud service or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email.

Children

Rooted is a general-audience editorial and media site. It is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13 through accounts, registrations or submission forms. Historical media may include family or community content, but that is different from operating a child-directed data-collection service.

State privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable privacy law covers the relevant processing, you may have rights relating to personal information. Those rights vary by jurisdiction and are not represented as universal. Requests concerning information you provided directly, or a specific archive item involving you, may be submitted through the Rooted contact page. Reasonable verification may be required.

Changes

This policy may change as Rooted's services, vendors, archive practices or legal obligations evolve. If Rooted later launches donations, newsletter signup, SMS, event registration, user submissions, memberships, ecommerce or advertising technology, this policy should be reviewed before those features are treated as part of the live data environment.
